Sr. Manager, Learning & Development

 

CSC Generation Holdings family of brands is saving Retail. We acquire store and catalog-based retailers, and transform them into high performing, “digital first” brands. In just four years, we’ve acquired and turned around brands including: Sur La Table, Z Gallerie, Direct Buy, and One Kings Lane, saving over 2,000 jobs and reaching $1.5B in revenue. 

  

This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, we’re a startup, and you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Resources, you will own the Learning & Development portfolio of training courses and programs across all brands, supporting different functions.

 

Your day to day will vary but here’s an idea of what you’ll work on:

  • Drive Learning and Development initiatives and programs, supporting change management and enhancing the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle including engaging onboarding process
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and gap analysis to support the needs of the growing organization and compliance
  • Design and deliver innovative e-learning programs, workshops and other training
  • Facilitate cohorts, coaching sessions, and engaging meetings in virtual and in-person environments
  • Support learning deliverables through standardized processes, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement
  • Drive the employee survey and interpretation, facilitating the communications of the outcomes and the improvement opportunities

 

Our ideal candidate

  • A natural collaborator who is passionate about delivering an excellent learning experience to your stakeholders 
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Superb communications and presentations skill
  • Professional experience in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, UI Design
  • Working knowledge of tools and techniques for developing learning solutions — from LMS solutions to design solutions to media production tools
  • Experience supporting business transformation and change initiatives
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability for results
  • High degree of responsiveness to business demands and ability to work across time zones
  • Based in one of the following locations: Greater Chicago, Austin, Houston or Canada
